Does anyone know of resources that would have info on where dance/jazz bands from the 20's and 30's might have played....what I'm trying to track down is for example: where did Harry Reser's Jumping Jacks gig at ? When & Where did they tour and at what places did they play.
IOW: Tour itineraries. Any ideas / suggestions appreciated. Thank you!

First thing might be to determine which bands existed outside recording studios. It's possible the Jumping Jacks were featured on "Clicquot Club" broadcasts, but I don't think they were a working band. Same for Louis' Hot 5, which may have played in public once.
