Rich, considering how "crowded" this week is, why aren't you saving Gene Kardos (B-day 6/12) for next week?

I dig "the game." As it turns out, there'll be more Glen Gray next week, since Casa Loma's clarinet soloist, Clarence Hutchenrider, is getting his annual salute.

Pinetop Smith, writer of the famous and influential Pinetop's Boogie Woogie, was born on 6/11/1904. But before he recorded anything else, he was shot dead in a Chicago dance hall fight.
