For years, I've had the record of "Lazy" by "Maurice Englin." Finally listened today and saw (and heard) it was Maureen.

And I'm planning on a bunch of Les Paul that night. Dave Frishberg, Sinatra and Nick Cave, too.

'just because' is my favorite early les paul song...and rich has played it often enough to make me think it is one of his favorites, also

I love that "Smile When the Raindrops Fall", scratches and all.

It's a tough record to turn up. Ideally, any upgrades that we find will go into the "BB" CDs as they're re-pressed.

A record like that is great just the way it is. I hope it never gets "upgraded". Some things just get ingrained your memory.

My favorite Les Paul is Meet Mister Callaghan. Unfortunately, it's from 1954, well outside the chronological constraint of BB.

Hi Rich,

I picking up the Big Broadcast during the 10 pm hour Cliff Edwards' "Why Couldn't It Be Poor Little Me" was a treat. I have only heard Isham Jones version of the tune. "Wedding Bells" is also interesting; I have Billy Murray and Walter Scanlon's version. Neat to hear alternate versions of standards, especially under the "B" labels.

Wow Rich, your restoration of the Georgian's Barney Google is superb. I have a well worn 78 of this classic. I see you slowed down and pitched the recording for very effective reproduction. I have started getting pretty good with acoustic recordings restoration.

Just can't enough of the Six Jumping Jacks. Thanks for including them tonight.

And Columbo and Carmen. Sigh and double sigh.

"That Old Feeling," probably my favorite Carmen recording. It has been a great night.

Definitely. That is a terrific recording. I think 1937 was a great year for the Lombardo band.
